A Rose Covered GraveThe moon's silver light
Casts a shadow across
An old cemetery
Long forgotten
Left to its own dismay
Overgrown with unwanted weeds
The towering trees sway
In the silent air
Save for the gentle
Flapping of a Raven's feathers
As it circles
And preys on the night
Settling on an unmarked statue
An angel forever frozen
In stone she weeps
Blood spilt rubies leak
Her hands folded in reverence
She bows before the grave
An unfinished prayer upon her lips
No words written for the wicked
A single slab of stone
Pale gray it waits
For the loved ones
Left behind to
Engrave words
Upon this rock
To forever mark

The MessengersThey have sent their messengers - immaculate crows
arriving from the deep cauldron of the Night
to test me, with this dark matter made of black stars
that consumes everything, every single piece
of what I used to call my own existence
I am drained, almost empty, soon... nothing to be
my wrecks drifting, sink into the void
on the shores of the constellation named dissolution
with its desperation satellites always returning
into these elliptic curves eclipsing
where my rings are - already a lapse in time
leaping for the Great Quest

The raven gods that are coming,
relentlessly… blackening my waters
called dearly once by tears of rain,The Messengers by ~Kay-March
The Love That Once Was...Your worst is beautiful to me
and you don't even seem to see
not me... the real me

Shades are moving across the walls
running all over the floor, with tiny little feet
knocking on the door, the doorbell rings, sings
it's me... it's me...

You don't turn around,
you don't leave that holy ground
not for me... the real me

The shape of my heart
greeting you every morning
and each time the evening
comes I'm smiling

On my grey gardens, where the rain
drink the skies and won't allow any breath again
What should I do alone and lonely
with all this love torn... into hurt and pain?!

Welcome All!

This is a group for all people who love creatures with wings and flight. The group has been structured after the concept in zoology, the study of animals, of the four origins of flight: insects, pterosaurs, birds and bats. I have added a fifth origin of flight to the line up, mythical creatures, such as dragons and gryphons. Whether you are deep into the study of birds, like myself, or you just love things that fly please feel free to join.

Our mascot is Roäc Spiritwind. He is a raven who is wise in all things with wings and can fly. His first name comes from the wise old and balding raven in The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. Do not worry, thought, our Roäc is not balding. (An image of him is forthcoming.)

The red five petal star is our symbol. Each petal represents one of the origins of flight.

There are few rules:
  1. Be respectful.
  2. Stay on topic.
  3. Have fun!

Do mythical creatures include people with wings? Not necessarily angels, just human-shaped beings.

well think of it this way. there has always been a fight whether mythical creatures are real or not but the definition of myth is some sort of fictional story so if its real it is not a mythical creature. sorry for such a long answer i just wanted to make sure you could answer this question by yourself if it ever occurred again :) did that help at all?
